Mentoring Program
Travis County Women Lawyers Association is now accepting applications for our 2024-2025 Mentoring Program!
Our mentoring program matches experienced Mentors with a Mentee in the first five years of practice, according to respective backgrounds and legal interests. The Mentors and Mentees will develop a mentoring relationship throughout the year and will be able to discuss career and personal goals, as well as methods to improve legal skills, adjust to the challenges of law practice, and explore new legal career options.
The 9-month program requires a commitment of about one hour per month and will consist of lunch CLE programs; evening networking opportunities with Mentors, Mentees and the larger TCWLA membership; Mentor-Mentee small group meetings; and service project opportunities. The program begins in October 2024 and will conclude in June 2025. The program has been adapted to meet our current needs, and is $75 per participant to cover costs, like food. However, please do not let cost be a deterrent! We have scholarships available for mentees.
Any TCWLA member interested in participating as a Mentor (licensed 5 years or more) or as a Mentee (licensed fewer than 5 years), should visit tcwla.org or use the following link to apply: https://tcwla.org/mentoring-program/
Application materials must be submitted by September 24, 2024. If you have any questions, email co-chairs Neha Paymaster at npaymaster@emaustin.com or Megan Johnson at megan.miel@gmail.com.
