DESCRIPTION:CLE Advocacy in Arbitration:  Tips from an Arbitrator on How to Present Your Case.  This 1-hour session will provide an overview of the arbitration process\, what pitfalls to avoid before your make your arbitration demand\, including jurisdictional issues\, making an effective demand\, how to advocate for respondents in arbitration\, a discussion of discovery in arbitration\, and more advocacy tips from an arbitrator. \nOur presenter Kristen Hudson is licensed in Texas and Illinois\, and concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation\, insurance recovery\, and arbitration.  Kristen is Adjunct Faculty at UIC Law School in Chicago\, Illinois\, where she teaches Alternative Means of Dispute Resolution\, International Means of Dispute Resolution\, and is coach of the school’s award-winning Willem C. Vis International Moot Arbitration Team\, which competes each year in Vienna\, Austria and Hong Kong\, China.  When she is not practicing law\, Kristen can be found rowing on Town Lake and hopes to someday open a horse and donkey rescue. \nEarn 1.0 hours CLE credit.
