SUMMARY:February Membership CLE Lunch
DESCRIPTION:Please join TCWLA on Wednesday\, February 21 from 12 – 1 pm for a membership CLE\, “TxDot is About to Wreck Your Life: Eminent Domain 101.”  The presentation will be made by experienced litigator and condemnation attorney\, Sue Ayers\, and will be a primer on the law of Eminent Domain and the steps that TxDot must take with landowners to acquire their property\, whether voluntarily or through litigation. Among the highlights of the presentation\, Sue will discuss TxDot’s plan called I-35 Capital Express that is going to drastically change I-35 from SH 45 North to SH 45 Southeast. Sue has handled hundreds of land acquisitions for major infrastructure projects all over the State\, for both condemnors (Lone Star Transmission\, GBRA\, Union Pacific RR) and for landowners (who are adverse to the federal gov’t or TxDot).  Earn 1.0 hour of CLE credit.  Lunch is available for $20. \nRegister:  \n\n\nLoading…
